The inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. Any Wisconsin resident in 4K to grade 12 may apply to attend a nonresident school district under the open enrollment program. However, a child may transfer to a nonresident school district for early childhood education or 4K only if the child’s resident school district offers the same type of program and only if the child is eligible for that program in the resident school district.
The regular open enrollment application period for the 2025-26 school year begins on February 3, 2025, and ends at 4:00 pm on April 30, 2025. The best way to apply is online (a link to the online application will be available at the top of this page during the application period). CLICK HERE
The Stone Bank School Board of Education is required to determine the number of open enrollment seats for the upcoming school year during its January meeting. On January 20, 2025, the Board approved an unlimited number of regular education open enrollment seats for all grade levels. Additionally, they approved 2 seats for the speech and language program and 2 seats for cross-categorical special education services, both applicable across all grade levels, for the 2025-2026 school year. This decision was made in accordance with the criteria outlined in the Board’s open enrollment policy #5113. The Board guarantees open enrollment approval for all currently attending students.
